The OCIRC celebrated the 90th National Book Week with a fun and dynamic event under the theme, “Magbasa, Mangarap, Magdiwang”. Held on November 20-22, 2024, at the College Library and IBED Library from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the event brought together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate their love of reading, learning, and creativity.

The official launch of the OCIRC Website was a feature of the celebration and was aimed at improving access to library resources and services. The platform is therefore meant to make it easier and efficient for users to access academic materials, updates on library programs, and information on various literacy-related activities. This is a milestone in the commitment of Olivarez College to innovation and continuous improvement of the quality of education and information services it offers.

The event also took on a creative and emotional theme, “Delve to Your Emotions @ IRC”. The event was also set around a creative and emotional theme, based on symbolism of various emotions portrayed by characters from well-known animated media.

Throughout the three-day celebration, the attendees were engaged in several activities that encouraged reading, imagination, and self-expression. The event was able to build a love and fondness for books as well as show the importance of libraries in terms of growth, discovery and community use.

The 90th National Book Week celebration at Olivarez College Information Resource Center not only highlighted the importance of reading but also displayed the institution’s commitment to embracing the digital age with initiatives like the OCIRC Website. The book week celebration at Olivarez College thus reaffirmed the fact that reading is a way to dream, live and learn.
